I tried redeeming it right after dinner but I couldn't get the site to load. About 20 minutes ago everything was up and humming and I got registered and redeemed the card. I think I did pretty well:

This is my first 1953 card and I have no idea who Bob Del Greco is but according to Wikipedia he was a defensive sub for Mickey Mantle and helped the Yankees win the Pennant in 1957. One thing that's kind of cool is that he's a Pittsburgh born Pirate. You don't see that much these days, guys don't usually end up with the hometown team. He's not a Blue Jay but he did play for Toronto which is very cool and I think this may be Bob's RC too.

Not to shabby. I got 2 60's and 1 70's out of the 14 I reedeemed today. I have the list over on my blog if you are interested.
ReplyDeleteNice one! You did well. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is AWESOME! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteExcellent! I was hoping for something before 1970 but I got a 1988 Daryl Akerfelds.
ReplyDeleteWow. One try and you get that. My eight tries wouldn't even add up to one-hundredth of what you got.
ReplyDeleteAwesome pull!
ReplyDeleteI figured I'd get a 2009 Ryan Perry or something, I'm obviously exceptionally happy with the result. I don't think I'll be buying much more Topps so this might be my one and only.
ReplyDeleteI just stumbled across your blog and although you haven't posted in a while I thought I'd see if you were interested in a card I pulled a bit ago.
ReplyDeleteIts a pretty cool looking Cobb
